Webinar - Psychological Safety at Sea

On May 15th, 2024 BNTU academic personnel and students participated in the Nautical Institute's online webinar "Psychological Safety at Sea."   Women working in the maritime sector face unique and significant challenges, even though they perform similar tasks to their male counterparts in an identical environment.   The speakers talked about their experience and emphasized importance of provision a psychologically safe work environment, open discussions/trainings and resources to support the health, well-being and career advancement of women in the sector.   The International Maritime Organization (IMO) celebrates International Day for Women in Maritime on May 18th each year. The webinar was part of the events dedicated to this day.
