Bachelor and Masters Registration Procedure and Required Documents

Registration Application: Complete the application during the document submission process.

Identity Document: Provide the original and a copy of your ID card. Foreign citizens must submit a copy of their passport or ID card along with a notarized Georgian translation.

Photographs: Submit four 3x4 photos and an electronic version on CD or DVD.

Military Registration Document: Georgian citizens subject to military registration must provide the original and a copy of the document confirming their registration.

Educational Documents:
- Bachelor's Degree Applicants: Submit a copy of the document confirming complete general or equivalent education.
- Master's Degree (Part I of the Program): A copy of a Bachelor's degree diploma or another document certifying an equivalent higher education qualification.
- Master's Degree (Part II of the Program): A copy of the diploma or other document certifying the successful completion of Part I of the same Master's degree program.

English Proficiency Certificate: Provide a certificate confirming your proficiency at the level required for admission to the English-language program or another relevant program.

Marine Education Program: Submit medical examination form #100/a (Dedani) issued by an authorized medical institution.

English-Language Programs: Applicants must exceed the 50% threshold in English proficiency.
Special Admission Conditions for Studying at BNU Without Unified National Exams
According to Georgian legislation, certain applicants are exempt from passing unified national exams, including:
- Foreign citizens and stateless persons who have obtained full general education or its equivalent in a foreign country; or foreign citizens and stateless persons (except those who also hold Georgian citizenship) who have obtained full general education or its equivalent in Georgia through educational programs recognized by Georgia as foreign or international programs.
- Citizens of Georgia who have obtained full general education or its equivalent in a foreign country and who studied abroad during the final two years of their general education.
- Foreign citizens (except students participating in joint higher education programs or student exchange programs) who are studying or have studied at a higher education institution recognized under the legislation of the respective foreign country and have earned academic credits and/or obtained a qualification.
- Citizens of Georgia (except students participating in joint higher education programs or student exchange programs) who, for the period determined by the Ministry, reside or have resided abroad, study or have studied at a higher education institution recognized under the legislation of the respective foreign country, and have earned academic credits and/or obtained a qualification (excluding qualifications obtained through distance learning programs that are not recognized in Georgia in accordance with Georgian legislation).
Admission to BNU Master's Degree Programs Without Taking the Unified Master's Examination
In accordance with the legislation of Georgia and within the established procedures and deadlines, admission to BNU Master's degree programs without taking the Unified Master's Examination is permitted for:
- Applicants for a Master's degree who have obtained a document certifying the relevant higher education academic degree in a foreign country.
- Foreign citizens (except students participating in joint higher education programs or student exchange programs) who are studying or have studied in a Master's degree program at a higher education institution recognized under the legislation of the respective foreign country and have earned academic credits and/or obtained a qualification.
- Citizens of Georgia (except students participating in joint higher education programs or student exchange programs) who, for the period determined by the Ministry, reside or have resided abroad, study or have studied in a Master's degree program at a higher education institution recognized under the legislation of the respective foreign country, and have earned academic credits and/or obtained a qualification (excluding qualifications obtained through distance learning programs that are not recognized in Georgia in accordance with Georgian legislation).
- Applicants for a Master's degree who were admitted to a higher education institution without taking the Unified National Examinations.
- Applicants for a Master's degree who have achieved the required minimum score on an international examination included in the list of international examinations approved by the Ministry.
Registration for BNU's Vocational Education Programs:
- To register for a program, an individual must log in to the registration system at www.vet.emis.ge and register as an applicant.
- Applicants are registered within the timeframe determined by an individual administrative-legal act issued by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
- During registration, the applicant is allowed to choose no more than three desired programs.
- The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted in the registration system.
- Submitting incorrect information in the system may result in the applicant being denied admission.
- The selection period and the start date of studies are defined by an individual administrative-legal act of the Minister.
Applicant Selection Procedure:
- The selection process involves evaluating applicants for admission to the program.
- The evaluation is conducted in Georgian, and in the case of foreign-language programs, in the respective language of the program.
- The assessment takes place at BSU’s Department of Vocational Education. If necessary, it can also be conducted remotely using modern communication tools.
- Applicants are assessed based on testing and/or interviews organized by BNU’s Department of Vocational Education.
- The specific selection format for each intake and/or program is determined by an individual administrative-legal act issued by the head of BNU’s Department of Vocational Education.
After admission to a vocational education program, students must submit the following documents to the admissions committee:
- An application addressed to the Head of BNU’s Department of Vocational Education (filled out on-site);
- A notarized copy of the education certificate/diploma;
- A copy of the birth certificate;
- A medical certificate “Form 100” (Address: 91 Z. Gorgiladze Street, Maritime Medical Center "Sagittarius");
- Three copies of an ID card;
- Four photographs (¾ size) along with an electronic version;
- A document confirming military registration, if applicable.
