Advancing Gender Equality
BNU is committed to promoting gender equality in the maritime sector. To support this goal, the university provides free tuition for women enrolled in the Bachelor's degree programs in "Maritime Navigation" (available in both Georgian and English). This initiative aligns with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) campaign Women in Maritime, which seeks to address gender disparities in the maritime industry and empower women. By increasing female representation in a traditionally male-dominated field, BNU fosters a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
