June 25 - Day of the Seafarers 2017

On June 25, 2017 Batumi Navigation Teaching University took part in community events, dedicated to the International Day of the Seafarers. Events, organized by Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia were held in the vicinity of the Batumi port, on the central streets of the city and on the Europe square. BNTU representatives and students laid the wreath at the Georgian Junkers memorial, honored the memory of the fallen sailors, organized procession in central streets, Europe square together with other marine universities, educational institutions and organizations. BNTU was represented with flags, banners, posters, promotional products and giftware, ship models, created by the students of the teaching university etc. Representatives of Georgia and Adjara government were presented on Europe Square; they congratulated the seafarers on a professional holiday and wished them success in maritime education. Batumi Navigation Teaching University exposition has evoked great interest of visitors. The event was finished with gala concert.
