Introductory-Educational Visit of Vocational Students to Enguri HPP
On July 27, 2025, vocational students and graduates of the Electricity vocational education program at BNU visited one of the most important hydroelectric facilities in western Georgia — the Enguri Hydroelectric Power Plant (Enguri HPP) — as part of an educational-introductory practice.
The visit included an introduction to the infrastructure located in the tunnel of the dam’s disk-type shut-off valves. The vocational students received detailed information about the technical aspects of the dam’s operation and management, the latest monitoring instruments and safety systems.
The main goal of the educational-introductory practice is to deepen the competencies of vocational students in a real working environment, allowing them to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience and explore modern technologies.
The visit was led by the head of the Electricity program, Levan Gobadze and co-head Nana Khalvashi.
