Public Lecture "The Importance Of Personal Data Protection And Existing Challenges" 25.06.2021

On June 25, 2021, a public lecture "The Importance of Personal Data Protection and Existing Challenges" was held for the students, academic and administrative staff of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University.
The public lecture was conducted by the representatives of the State Inspector's Office.
Educational institutions process large amounts of personal data in order to perform their assigned functions or provide services to students.Accordingly, the knowledge gained during the public lecture will help the participants to ensure a high standard in the protection of personal data in their daily activities and to prevent violations.
The public lecture addressed the importance of personal data protection and the challenges in the field of personal data protection. During the public lecture, the trainees were informed about the requirements set by the law on personal data processing and the service practice.
The meeting was chaired by Archil Javelidze, Deputy Head of the Private Sector Supervision Department and Lika Taniashvili, Lawyer.
The public lecture was conducted in an interactive mode, the lecture participants had the opportunity to get answers to questions of interest to them.
The lecture was held using the online platform Zoom.
