Visit of Representatives of IAMU to BNTU

On October 23, 2022, representatives of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU), executive secretary Yusuke Mori and coordinator Shigemi Matsuzaki, visited the Batumi Navigation Training University.

The guests met BNTU rector Parmen Khvedelidze, chancellor Lali Khvedelidze, deputy rectors Gela Gvarishvili and George Gabedava, and ISO manager Otar Tsintsadze.

The rector of BNTU thanked the guests for the association's representatives for their activities and the promotion that the association makes for BNTU. The guests handed over the membership certificate to the Rector of BNTU.

Within the framework of the meeting, the second deputy rector gave a presentation to the guests about the ongoing and planned events at BNTU.

At the end of the meeting, the guests saw the material and technical base of BNTU and got acquainted with the construction works.

Batumi Navigation Teaching University is a member of International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) since 2020.

IAMU unites 68 higher education institutions from 36 countries around the world. Its honorary members include the World Maritime University (WMU) and the Nippon Foundation.
