Training On "Advanced Training Program For Maritime Instructors And Administrators From MET Institutions 2021"

From October 22, 2021 to November 5, 2021, the academic staff of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University attended the training on "Advanced Training Program for Maritime Instructors and Administrators from MET Institutions 2021".

The following topics were discussed at the training:

-         Review of world maritime education and training (systems, structures, framework, and IMO conventions)

-         Competence of maritime English teaching: IMO Model Course 3.17

-         Best practices and experience in MET institutions;

-         Strategic planning for maritime universities, maritime training centers and International co-operation for sustainable development of MET;

The training was organized by Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) and the International Maritime Lecturers Association (IMLA).
