„Training of Trainers for the ILO Portworker Development Programme (PDP2) (EN)
From June 27 to July 29, 2022, Associate Professor, head of the International Relations Service of BNTU George Gabedava attended the ToT "Training of Trainers for the ILO Portworker Development Program (PDP2)".
The aim of the course is to strengthen the capacity of participating countries and institutions to train port workers on safe working conditions and procedures and to increase the competencies of workers involved in cargo operations.
The training course was compiled according to the standard of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and it was implemented by the "International Training Center" of the International Labor Organization.
Professor George Gabedava's participation in the mentioned training was financed by a grant issued by the government of the Republic of South Korea.
The training lasted for 5 weeks, 100 hours in total. Practical assignments, summery tests and two exams were provided along with the lecture time.
Professor George Gabedava successfully completed the training and was awarded the ToT "Training of Trainers for the ILO Portworker Development Program (PDP2)" certificate. He is authorized to conduct relevant trainings with representatives of the field.
18 representatives from 14 countries attended the training.
