International Scientific Webinar Series

From March 24 to April 1, 2026, the academic personnel of BNU participated in a series of webinars dedicated to the effective use of the Scopus, ScienceDirect and SciVal platforms.

The webinars were designed for researchers, academic personnel and all interested individuals who aim to develop research skills, improve the efficiency of scientific literature search and enhance the analysis of academic performance.

Within the webinar series, the following topics were covered:

• Navigating research landscapes with Scopus & ScienceDirect;
• Literature search and review with Scopus & ScienceDirect – deep dive;
• Selecting trustworthy journals: metrics, publishing models and ethics;
• SciVal for researchers – navigating trends and topics;
• SciVal for research management.

During the webinars, participants learned about:

• Modern methods for searching and analyzing research data;
• Criteria for selecting reliable scientific journals;
• Contemporary tools for evaluating academic performance and analyzing research trends.

This webinar series represents an important step toward strengthening the research capabilities of the university’s academic personnel and aligning with international scientific standards.
