SNU President Fellowship (SPF) Program – Spring 2027 (EN)

Announcement for BNU Academic Staff

According to the information received by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Seoul National University has announced the SNU President Fellowship (SPF) Program – Spring 2027, which is intended for current academic staff and provides full funding for doctoral studies at Seoul National University.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Not hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree;
• Hold at least a Master’s degree;
• Be employed at a university in an academic or teaching position (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Researcher, Lecturer, Instructor, or an equivalent academic position);
• Be admitted to an SNU doctoral programme for the Spring 2027 semester.

The fellowship includes:

• Full tuition fee coverage for up to six semesters;
• A monthly stipend of:
• KRW 2,000,000 for 3 years, or
• KRW 1,500,000 for 4 years;
• Round-trip airfare;
• A Korean language course;
• National health insurance;
• Childcare support (where applicable).

Application schedule:

• SNU Online Admission System: 6 July 2026 (10:00) – 9 July 2026 (17:00) (KST);
• Submission of SPF programme documents: by 31 July 2026 to the SNU Office of Global Affairs.
