3rd International School
From January 24-26, 2025, Professor Giorgi Gabedava, Head of International Relations at Batumi Navigation Teaching University, participated in the 3rd International Excellence School within the framework of the I2Q Project, aimed at promoting the internationalization of higher education in Georgia. The Excellence School's primary focus was 'Intellectual Property in Higher Education.'
The school was inaugurated by Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Tamar Gvamichava, who emphasized the significance of the I2Q project's higher education component, which encompasses measures directed toward strengthening internationalization, as a priority for the Ministry.
The attendees were also welcomed by Tamar Sanikidze, Executive Director of the Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Project - Georgia I2Q (WB), Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, Professor Shalva Kirtadze, Rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University, and Professor Tatiana Fumasoli from University College London (UCL).
The International Excellence School brought together 30 young scientists and researchers.
The 3rd International Excellence School event was organized by University College London (in partnership with consulting company Savvy Business Ltd) and jointly hosted by Kutaisi International University and Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University.
