Working Visit of Representatives from Istanbul Technical University to BNU
From 20 to 24 July 2026, Batumi Navigation University had the pleasure of hosting representatives of its partner institution, Istanbul Technical University (Türkiye), within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Programme.
During the visit, Batumi Navigation University welcomed Assistant Professor Fırat Bolat from the Faculty of Maritime, Hatice İpekbayrak, representative of the International and Global Exchange Office, and Ali Cumhur İpekbayrak, representative of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
Throughout the visit, the guests were introduced to Batumi Navigation University's academic programmes, teaching and research infrastructure, training facilities, and key areas of international cooperation. A series of working meetings were held with the University's administration, academic staff, and administrative personnel, during which the achievements of the long-standing partnership, ongoing joint activities, and future opportunities for cooperation were discussed.
Particular attention was given to further strengthening cooperation under the ERASMUS+ Programme, expanding student and staff mobility opportunities, developing joint educational and research initiatives, sharing international best practices, and exploring new areas of collaboration.
Istanbul Technical University has been a long-standing partner of Batumi Navigation University. For many years, the two institutions have successfully implemented ERASMUS+ mobility programmes for students, academic staff, and administrative personnel. This cooperation has made a significant contribution to the internationalization of both universities, the exchange of international experience, and the continuous enhancement of the quality of higher education.
