Webinar „Voyage Planning for Success “

On 18 June 2026, the academic and invited staff of Batumi Navigation University participated in the international webinar "Voyage Planning for Success", organized by The Nautical Institute.

The webinar focused on one of the key components of safe navigation and effective Bridge Resource Management (BRM) – Voyage Planning. During the event, the speakers discussed the technical aspects of BRM and the fundamental principles that define a well-prepared voyage plan.

Particular attention was also given to the resources and approaches required for developing a voyage plan, sharing information among bridge team members, and establishing a common understanding to ensure that every voyage is completed safely and successfully.

The webinar provided participants with an opportunity to become acquainted with contemporary practices and international experience in the fields of safe navigation and Bridge Resource Management. Such initiatives represent an important contribution to enhancing the quality of maritime education and strengthening professional competencies.
