Public Lecture: Free Economic Zone in Batumi 1878–1886

On June 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, a public lecture will be held for BNTU students and vocational students on the topic: Public Lecture: Free Economic Zone in Batumi (1878–1886).
During the lecture, attendees will learn about the outcomes of the 1877–1878 Russo-Turkish War for Georgia, the process of the return of Adjara, and the free port (porto-franco) status of Batumi. Special attention will be given to the role of the port as a city-forming factor for Batumi.
The lecture will be delivered by a representative of the Batumi Technological Museum named after the Nobel Brothers
