Public Lecture: 1700 Years Since Christianity Was Declared the State Religion
On October 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM, Batumi Navigation University will host a public lecture on the topic: “1700 Years Since Christianity Was Declared the State Religion.”
The lecture will explore the historical significance of Christianity being declared the state religion, key events associated with this process, and its influence on the historical and cultural development of Georgia.
The public lecture will be delivered by representatives of the Khariton Akhvlediani Museum:
Otar Gogolishvili — Director of the Khariton Akhvlediani Museum;
Makvala Gogua — Researcher in the History Department of the Khariton Akhvlediani Museum.
