Book Presentation: Georgia - A Maritime Country

On April 29 at 2:00 PM, a presentation of Merab Adeishvili’s book “Georgia – A Maritime Country” will be held at the Library of Batumi Navigation Teaching University.

“Georgia as a maritime country is, above all, a connection with the wider world, with Europe, and with new people. Just as in the past, it is through this status that we have faced challenges and continue to strive to overcome the problems of our region. The sea has always been and will remain one of the guarantees of Georgia’s European identity” — the book states. Based on documentary sources, the publication explores Georgia’s role as a maritime nation, its past, and its future prospects.

The book presentation will be attended by Mr. Merab Adeishvili himself. Participants will have a unique opportunity to hear directly from the author about the book and to ask questions of interest.

The presentation will take place at the University Library.
