Inspection Audit by the Experts of EMSA

On May 10-11, 2022, Batumi Navigation Teaching University and the International Maritime Training Center hosted an inspection audit by the experts of EMSA.   The audit was attended by the representatives of the European Maritime Safety Agency along with representatives of the Maritime Transport Agency.   BNTU has been undergoing intensive preparatory work for the audit in recent months.   At the opening meeting, George Gabedava the Head of the International Relations Service of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University made a presentation and talked about the main achievements of BNTU, internationalization, university authorization, program accreditation, implemented and planned activities. Also, on the directions of material-technical base development.   Reforms and projects implemented in the field of seafarers' education and certification during the last 8 years were evaluated within the framework of the audit of the European Maritime Safety Agency.
