National Award For Vocational Education 2021

The Vocational Education Program "Ship Deck Operation – Deck Rating“ of the Batumi Navigation Teaching University became the winner of the National Award for Vocational Education2021. The program won the nomination for Vocational Education Program of the Year.
The award ceremony was attended by BNTU Head of the Administration - Chancellor Lali Khvedelidze and Deputy Head of the Department of Vocational Education Mzevinar Dzirkvadze.
The winners of the National Award for Vocational Education 2021were announced on November 19 this year.
The winners of the National Vocational Education Award 2021 were revealed in five competition categories:
- Vocational Education Student of the Year;
- Vocational Education Teacher of the Year;
- Vocational education program of the year;
- Vocational training / retraining program for the year;
- Vocational Education Business Partner.
The annual competition for the National Award for Vocational Education was organized for the fourth time this year by the Millennium Foundation.
The aim of the competition is to develop and popularize vocational education as an important component of strengthening the country's economy. The general sponsor of the award is Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation. For the last two years, the Israeli Embassy in Georgia has been awarding a special prize at the competition. The competition is supported by the US Embassy and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The gala award ceremony was attended by representatives of the executive and legislative branches of government, the US and Israeli embassies, the diplomatic corps, the Millennium Foundation, international donor organizations, the field of vocational education and industry.
The event was performed by Tbilisi Big Band and its soloist Maia Baratashvili.
