Batumi Navigation Teaching University announces an open competition for academic positions on academic and professional tracks for the following positions:
Management
Associate Professor (academic track) – 1 vacancy
Maritime Sciences
Professor (academic track) – 1 vacancy
Assistant Professor (professional track) – 3 vacancies
Marine Engineering
Assistant Professor (academic track) – 1 vacancy
Academic Writing
Assistant Professor (academic track) – 1 vacancy
Law
Assistant (academic track) – 1 vacancy
Eligibility requirements:
For academic track positions:
Professor – doctoral or equivalent academic degree, at least 6 years of academic and teaching experience, publications within the last 5 years confirming competence in the field.
Associate Professor – doctoral or equivalent academic degree, at least 3 years of academic and teaching experience, publications within the last 5 years.
Assistant Professor – doctoral or equivalent academic degree and publications within the last 5 years.
Assistant – enrollment in a doctoral program at a Georgian or foreign higher education institution.
For professional track positions:
Assistant Professor – higher education degree, at least 4 years of professional experience in the relevant field, and relevant training or publications.
Required documents:
Application addressed to the Chair of the Competition Committee
Completed application form
Copy of identity document
Photograph (3x4, printed and electronic version)
Copy of higher education diploma
For education obtained abroad – notarized Georgian translation and recognition document
List of courses, syllabi, and publications from the last 5 years
Documents confirming the information provided in the application
Certificate confirming absence of conviction for crimes against sexual freedom
Military registration document if applicable
Additional documents:
For professors, associate professors, and assistant professors – documents confirming academic degree, professional experience, and teaching experience.
For assistants – certificate confirming enrollment in a doctoral program.
Competition timeline:
Submission of documents: December 1–11, 2024
Document review: December 12–13, 2024
Interviews: December 12–18, 2024
Announcement of preliminary results: December 2024
Appeals period: December 2024
Final results announcement: no later than December 26, 2024
Issuance of appointment orders: December 2024
