BNTU STUDENTS WERE ACQUAINTED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANAKLIA PORT

Students of Batumi Navigation Teaching University got acquainted with the construction of Anaklia Port. The introductory visit was held on May 3. Young people viewed the process of constructing a deep-water port, received information on the already completed and planned works. Anaklia port technical team hosted students of higher education institution. They discussed in detail  the 9th stages of the development of the port, the estimated terms and conditions. As well as on the number of berths, the general cargo turnover of the port and the possibility of shipwreck. Before field surveys, BNTU representatives underwent security instruction, after which they were given special clothing and equipment needed for safe transportation in field conditions. Implementation of the Anaklia Deepwater Port project bagan in 2016. The port will receive the first vessels in 2021. The Georgian-American Consortium - Anaklia Development Consortium is implementing the development and construction project of Anaklia's deep-sea port.
