BNU’s Head of Administration-Chancellor Attends the Standing Conference of Rectors

On September 22, 2026, Lali Khvedelidze, Head of Administration-Chancellor at Batumi Navigation University, participated in the Standing Conference of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Georgia.

Held at the Technical University of Georgia, the conference covered the current stage of higher education reform in Georgia, its key priorities, existing challenges and future development perspectives. The event was opened by Givi Mikanadze, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.

Josep M. Garrell, President of the European University Association (EUA) and Secretary General Amanda Crowfoot paid a special visit to Georgia to participate in the event.

The conference was also attended by rectors from accredited higher education institutions across Georgia and key representatives from the education sector.
