Representatives of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement Visit BNU
On September 8, 2026, representatives of the international maritime company Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) visited Batumi Navigation University (BNU).
The guests were hosted by BNU Rector, Professor Parmen Khvedelidze; Head of Administration – Chancellor, Lali Khvedelidze and Head of the International Relations Service, Professor George Gabedava.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between BNU and the international maritime industry. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the connection between maritime education and the industry, supporting the professional development of students and graduates, expanding opportunities for maritime practical training and enhancing employment prospects.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of close cooperation with international maritime companies for modern maritime education. The parties discussed the knowledge and professional competencies required of maritime specialists in the modern international labor market, as well as opportunities for sharing experience and best practices between the university and the industry.
The visit of BSM representatives provides another important opportunity to strengthen BNU’s relations with international and industry partners and to create additional professional opportunities for students.
