10 June 2026

On June 10, 2026, students from the BNU Faculty of Maritime Engineering and the Faculty of Business and Logistics conducted a study visit to the Batumi Sea Port.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce students to the practical aspects of the maritime industry and to connect their theoretical knowledge with a real-world working environment. During the visit, the students familiarized themselves with the core activities of the Batumi Sea Port, the specifics of managing cargo turnover and logistical operations, as well as the port's infrastructure and technical capabilities.

Additionally, the participants received comprehensive information regarding cargo reception, processing and shipping procedures, alongside the port's active safety standards and modern technological integration. Students had the opportunity to directly observe operational processes and receive detailed answers to their questions.

This educational visit once again highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the academic sector and the maritime industry, which significantly contributes to the professional development and practical skill enhancement of the students.

BNU extends its gratitude to the administration of the Batumi Sea Port for organizing such an engaging and educational visit for our students.
