International Maritime Practice of BNU Students

28 May 2026

Two students from the Faculty of Maritime Engineering at BNU are participating in the international program Diversity – Cadet Programme, implemented by one of the world’s leading maritime companies, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM).

As part of the program, BNU students are currently in Cyprus, where they are undergoing a three-month basic training course for cadets at BSM’s Maritime Training Centre. The course includes both theoretical instruction and practical training in accordance with modern international maritime standards.

Upon successful completion of the course, the participating students will undertake onboard training on vessels managed by BSM, enabling them to gain real-world professional experience and enhance their technical and operational skills.

It is noteworthy that the partnership between BNU and BSM has been developing successfully for years, providing students with a unique opportunity to master maritime professions in an international environment and to prepare for their future career challenges.
