BNU Representatives at the International Maritime Exhibition POSIDONIA 2026
On June 1-2, 2026, POSIDONIA 2026, one of the world's most prestigious international maritime exhibitions, was held in Athens, Greece. The event was attended by Associate Professor Elida Khvedelidze, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of BNU and Professor George Gabedava, Head of the International Relations Service.
POSIDONIA 2026 serves as a leading platform for the global maritime industry, bringing together shipowners, ship management companies, maritime educational institutions, maritime technology providers and other key stakeholders from around the world.
Within the framework of the exhibition, BNU representatives held numerous working meetings with representatives of international ship management and crewing companies. The primary objective of these meetings was to expand opportunities for sea phase training, cadet programs and subsequent employment for university students and graduates, as well as to establish new partnerships and deepen existing collaborations.
During the meetings, the university representatives introduced partner organizations to BNU's educational programs, international cooperation initiatives, maritime training infrastructure and modern approaches to personnel training. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities that the university offers to maritime industry representatives in terms of attracting qualified young specialists trained in accordance with international standards.
Participation in POSIDONIA 2026 once again confirms BNU's active engagement in the international maritime educational and professional space, as well as its commitment to strengthening cooperation with the global maritime sector to expand professional development, practical training and employment opportunities for its students and graduates.
