BNU Representatives Attend the Launch Event of WIMA Europe

On June 24, 2026, representatives of BNU attended the official launch event of WIMA Europe (Women in Maritime Association Europe), held in Batumi, Georgia.

The event brought together maritime professionals, industry leaders, representatives of academia, and partner organizations united by a common goal of fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and interconnected maritime sector.

The launch event served as an important platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of international cooperation. Established under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Women in Maritime Programme, WIMA Europe is dedicated to promoting gender equality across the European maritime sector by enhancing women's professional development, leadership, and visibility.

The Association also supports the development of education and mentoring programmes, encourages innovation, and promotes stronger regional and international cooperation.
