Photo Exhibition: The First Female Seafarers from Ajara

On June 27, 2025, students from BNU attended the photo exhibition The First Female Seafarers from Ajara, held at the Khariton Akhvlediani Museum of Ajara.
The exhibition was dedicated to the first female seafarers in the maritime history of Georgia — Nino Kalandadze, Vaide Gvarishvili, Iulia Failodze and Shushana Tumanishvili.
Attendees had the unique opportunity to view rare photographic material preserved in the archives of the Museum, including rare images from the Batumi Maritime Technical School, group portraits from the 1930s and photographs depicting moments of work on board ships.
