Batumi Navigation University hereby announces an open competition for the academic position of Assistant Professor in the field of Management based on academic criteria (1 vacancy).
Qualification Requirements for the Position of Assistant Professor (Academic Criteria):
A) An academic degree of Doctor (Ph.D.) or an equivalent scientific degree.
B) Publication(s), scientific paper(s), or other relevant academic works completed within the last five (5) years that demonstrate competence in the respective field.

Note: If the preliminary results of the competition are not contested within the established appeal period, the preliminary results shall be considered the final results of the competition conducted at BNU.

Issuance of the Official Decree on the Appointment of Successful Candidates to Academic Positions: No later than July 7, 2026.
Required Documentation for Submission
A) A formal application addressed to the Chairperson of the Competition Commission.
B) A completed applicant questionnaire.
C) A copy of an identity document (ID Card/Identity Certificate). In the case of foreign citizenship, a copy of the passport or identity document accompanied by a notarized Georgian translation.
D) A photograph (printed copy, size 3x4 cm, as well as an electronic version).
E) A document certifying higher education. (In the case of education/qualifications obtained abroad, candidates must submit a document of recognition issued by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, along with a notarized Georgian translation of the higher education diploma).
F) To confirm qualification based on academic criteria: documents certifying an academic degree of Doctor or an equivalent scientific degree, along with verification of the required scientific and pedagogical experience.
G) Syllabi of study courses and a comprehensive list of scientific papers and publications published within the last five (5) years.
H) Supporting documentation verifying the information provided in the applicant questionnaire.
I) A valid criminal record certificate. (Note: Pursuant to Article 32, Paragraph 2 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, an individual convicted of a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability under the Law of Georgia on Combating Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Inviolability, or an individual who has been deprived of the right to engage in educational activities by a court of law based on the same act, cannot be employed by a higher education institution). The criminal record certificate must be valid on the date of submission; according to legislation, the validity period of the certificate is 15 days.

The successful candidate will be elected to the academic position for a term of four (4) years.
