Conference "Skills Ecosystem and a New Stage of Reform"
On June 21-23, 2022, Lali Khvedelidze, Head of the Administration of Batumi Navigation Teaching University / Head of the Department of Vocational Education attended the conference "Skills Ecosystem and a New Stage of Reform".
During the working sessions of the conference, the following topics were discussed:
- A new model of management in the field of vocational education and its role in the development of the skills ecosystem;
- Internationalization of skills system;
- Digital transformation of skills system;
- Skills system research;
- A new model for the development of qualifications;
- Regulatory framework for work-based learning;
- A vision for the institutional development of colleges;
- The process of introducing authorization standards;
- Skills system communication strategy;
At the end of the conference, a concluding discussion was held on the topics discussed. Participants discussed current issues at the reform stage, discussed future steps, and shared their views.
The conference was organized by the Skills Agency of Georgia and supported by the United Nations Development Program and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
