Day of the Seafarers 2017 – International Conference in BNTU

On June 24, 2017 3rd International Research-to-Practice Conference, dedicated to the International Day of Seafarers - Current marine technologies, social and economic development problems and ways of their solution was opened. Professors and lecturers from Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Batumi Art Teaching University, Georgian Technical University, Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University, Teaching and Training Center -Anri, as well as Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, Kyiv Vadym Hetman National Economic University, Technological University of Central Ukraine, Nikolayev Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, Chernigov National Technological University, Azerbaijan State Marine Academy participated in the conference. Mr. Parmen Khvedelidze, Professor, Batumi Navigation Teaching University Rector and Mr. Mamuka Akhaladze, the Director of Marine Transport Agency of Georgia inaugurated the Conference. Mr. Mirian Katamadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Ajara, Mr. Ermile Meskhia, Rector of Batumi Art Teaching University, Mrs. Natia Tsiklashvili, Deputy Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University made opening speech.

Topical problems of social and economic development of marine field, possible ways of their solution, as well we current issues of education economics were addressed at the Conference. Comprehensive and fundamental reports of Mrs. Elene Kharabadze, professor of the faculty of economic and business of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University, Mr. Tengiz Aphkhazava, BNTU professor, Mrs. Elena Grishnyova, professor, Dr.sc.oec, the Head of Department of Entrepreneurship Economics of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, Mrs. Irina Kalenyuk, professor, Dr.sc.oec, Drector of yiv Vadym Hetman National Economic University, Mr. Eugenie Panchenko, Head of International Management Department of the same university caused special interest among the participants of the Conference.
