Day of the Seafarers 2017 - Ceremonial reception in BNTU

On June 24, 2017, traditional ceremonial reception, dedicated to the International Day of the Seafarers held in Batumi Navigation Teaching University.
Together with the representatives of other higher educational institutions, partners and employers, management and employees of Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia and participants of International Conference held in BNTU, honored guests: Mrs. Tamar Beruchashvili, Georgia Ambassador to United Kingdom, permanent representative in International Maritime Organization; Mr. Frederic Kane, Director of Administration of Legal and Foreign Relationships of International Maritime Organization, US Coast Guard Admiral; Mr. Lino Vassallo, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Malta in the International Maritime Organization; Mrs. Felicity Attard, LL.D, Institute of International Maritime Law; Mr. Vasileios Terzis, the owner and General Manager of Queensway, and representatives of the same company – Mr. Konstantinos Terzis and Evangeleos Kalianos, as well as Mr. Recep Jambulat, editor of maritime newspaper Deniz Haber, attended the ceremonial reception.
Guests congratulated participants on the International Day of the Seafarers and wished success to Batumi Navigation Teaching University and all representatives of maritime field in Georgia.
Within ceremonial reception, BNTU Administration represented brief report on achievements of the year, awarded graduates 2016-17 with diplomas; BNTU Rector and Chancellor gave memorable gifts to the guests, participants of conference and successful employees.
Official part of reception was continued with gala dinner. Reception concluded with fireworks.
