Seafarers Day 2022

On July 2, 2022, events dedicated to the Day of Seafarers were held in Batumi.

Throughout the city, a number of interesting and entertaining activities were planned during the day:

• A solemn procession of students of maritime schools was organized;
• In Batumi Boulevard, near the colonnades, children's entertainment spaces with animators were placed;
• Musical performances were staged;
• The products of Georgian entrepreneurs were exhibited, an exhibition and sale of handicrafts was organized by the agency "Produce in Georgia".
• A space for maritime industry representatives was placed, where, according to tradition, the Batumi Navigation Teaching University was presented.

Georgia, as a maritime country, annually celebrates the day on June 25 with large-scale events, which was announced by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) as the International Day of Seafarers in 2011.
