NATO certification course 23.12.2020

Students of the Batumi Navigation Teaching Universityattended a NATO certification course. The certification course consists of five webinars, it started on December 9, 2020 and ended on December 23.

During the course, studentslearnt more about NATO's history, its objectives and goals, and NATO's role in global security; The process of Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration and the dynamics and future prospects of NATO-Georgia cooperation was discussed with the invited experts.

The Certification Course was opened and participants were welcomed by Tamara Tsuleiskiri, Director of the Information Center on NATO and the European Union; First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia - Vakhtang Makharoblishvili and Acting Deputy Chief of US Mission in Georgia - Catherine Schweizer.

The event is part of the US Department of State-funded project "Increasing Awareness and Involvement in Western Integration in the Regions of Georgia", implemented by the Information Center on NATO and the European Union together with the US Embassy in Georgia.

Thw webinar was attended by more than 200 students from all over Georgia.

Participants were awarded certificates.
