Vocational Skills Agency's year-end event

On December 12, 2022, a summarizing event of the year's activities of the Professional Skills Agency was held, which was attended by Enrike Intskirveli, a specialist of the Maritime Engineering Faculty of Batumi Navigation Teaching University and a vocational teacher of Makhinjauri Maritime Lyceum.

The event was opened by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkel, and the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, Pavel Herchinskii, with a welcome speech.

At the meeting, the professional skills agency presented the summary information of the projects implemented as a result of the one-year activity and the results achieved. The importance of partnership in processes was emphasized.

Panel discussions were held within the event. The main theme of the first panel was "Skills for Economic Development". The participants discussed the importance of public-private partnership for the development of the economy at the new stage of the skills ecosystem reform, evaluated the agency's activities and achieved results, and outlined opportunities for future cooperation.

The second panel was about the importance of social inclusion in skills development. During the panel discussion, the importance of access to education was emphasized. The participants discussed the services that are introduced to ensure the inclusion of groups with different needs in education.

The event was attended by members of the Government of Georgia, representatives of the private sector, representatives of international and local organizations, non-governmental sector, educational institutions and other invited guests.

The event was supported by the European Union project "Technical support for the development of skills and knowledge adapted to the needs of the labor market and employment".
