Rector’s Conference

Batumi Navigation University’s Head of Administration–Chancellor, Lali Khvedelidze, attended the Rectors’ Conference held at Kutaisi International University (KIU), which brought together rectors of authorized public and private higher education institutions across Georgia.

During the event, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, presented the key directions of the fundamental higher education reform initiated by the Prime Minister, emphasizing that the reform aims to improve quality and establish a modern, standards-aligned education system in the country.

The participants also discussed the initial stage of legislative changes related to the reform, as well as the issue of rectors’ representation quotas in the working group preparing the Law on Education and Science.

The conference was held in a discussion format and the participants reached joint decisions on several important matters.
