Public Lecture on Maritime Labour Convention

On November 26, 2025, a public lecture was held at BNU on the topic “Maritime Labour Convention: International Minimum Standards for Seafarers.”
The lecture was led by BNU’s invited specialist, lawyer Mariam Jakeli, who introduced students to the importance of the Convention for both shipowners and seafarers. Attendees received valuable insights into international standards, current practices and key issues that directly affect the working conditions and well-being of seafarers.
The event was attended by BNU students as well as professional program students.
