The International Conference "SEAS OF TRANSITION: SETTING A COURSE FOR THE FUTURE" 09.09.2021

Representatives of the Batumi Navigation Teaching  University participated in the international conference "SEAS OF TRANSITION: SETTING A COURSE FOR THE FUTURE".

The conference was organized by the International Maritime Lecturers Association (IMLA) and the World Maritime University (WMU).

George Gabedava, Professor of BNTU, and Guram Kakabadze, Coordinator of the International Maritime Training Center, participated in the conference.They prepared a paper on "The needs, challenges and prospects of maritime education and training in Georgia", accordingly a presentation was made. A plenary session was held as part of the conference, where speakers answered questions.

The conference was opened by Jin Yongxing, President of the International Maritime Lecturers Association (IMLA), and Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry, President of the World Maritime University (WMU).

The conference had about 80 speakers from various maritime educational institutions around the world.

BNTU, as a member university of the Association, always participates in the annual conference organized by the Association.
