INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

V (unniversary) International Scientific Conference "Modern Maritime Technologies, Social-Economic Development Problems and Ways of Solving Them" - dedicated to the International Day of Seafarers was held.

The conference was opened by the Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University – Mr. Parmen Khvedelidze.Ms. Tamar Ioseliani - Director of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia also addressed the audience.

At the International Scientific Conference, there were about 100 reporters, including reporters from various European countries. 10 Georgian universities, 11 European educational institutions were presented at the conference.

The issues such as perfection of the load of packaged cargo on the ship's deck, visibility on the Black Sea, current aspects of safety life at sea and first aid in international maritime law, the characteristics of the correctness of electronic navigation maps in navigation were  discussed during the International Scientific Conference.

The Batumi Navigation Teaching University and the National Institute for Economic Research, together with partner organizations was the organizer of the international conference. You can see the video material prepared on the topic here.
