International Webinar on Seafarers' Mental Health and Well-being: Translating Research into Practice

On October 17, 2024, BNTU personnel and students attended the international webinar on Seafarers' Mental Health and Well-being: Translating Research into Practice.

Among the panelists was BNTU Associate Professor George Gabedava, who delivered a presentation on „Seafarers' Mental Health and Well-being: Factors Impacting Seafarers' Mental and Career Intentions," discussing how various factors affect sailors' mental well-being and career plans.

The presentation highlighted key findings from research conducted by BNTU in collaboration with partner universities, including the University of Ljubljana and Dalian Maritime University. The study was supported by the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) and the Nippon Foundation.

The webinar, organized by the World Maritime University, was attended by 200 participants.
