During the visit, the Agency Director inspected the university’s modern infrastructure, navigation and simulation facilities, as well as the training pool, all of which are particularly important for developing the practical skills of seafarers.
“The existence and development of private universities in the field of maritime higher education is especially important for the state, as it creates additional opportunities for obtaining quality education, increases competition, promotes the introduction of modern standards and contributes to the preparation of highly qualified maritime professionals for the country,” noted Ivane Abashidze.
Special attention was drawn to the fact that the large-scale infrastructural and technical modernization carried out at the university was fully financed through private investment.
