These are the issues that Ms. Nino Gorgoshadze, the Head of Seafarers’ Department of the Maritime Transport Agency, and Ms. Nino Oragvelidze, the Head of Seafarers’ Education System Monitoring Division introduced to the students at the meeting held at the Batumi Navigation Teaching University.

The basics of seafarers’ education and training, as well as the developmental stages were introduced to the students by Ms. Nino Gorgoshadze. She talked about the possibility of obtaining competency-based education.

Seafarers’ responsibilities / duties and professional opportunities were discussed.

Particular emphasis was placed on the need and rules for filling in the TRTB training record  book.
