Memorandum Of Understanding With The Ministry Of Defense 6.08.2020

On August 6, 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and the authorized higher education institutions in Georgia.

The ceremony was attended by Gela Gvarishvili, Deputy Rector of Batumi Navigation Teaching University, who signed the memorandum.

Within the document:

Public lectures will be held by the heads of the Ministry in higher education institutions;

Excursions to military units will also be planned;

Cognitive-educational projects and scientific-research activities on military topics will be implemented.

According to the Minister of Defense, Irakli Gharibashvili, the Ministry will provide 50% co-financing of tuition fees for servicemen and their family members enrolled in higher education institutions. According to him, students with high academic performance will receive an additional 750 GEL " Scholarship of Minister" per semester.
