Attention Master's Degree Candidates!

  •
  • A candidate who earned the right to take internal exams at BNU but fails to apply, submit the required documents, or complete registration within the deadlines set by BNU will lose the opportunity to take internal exams and, consequently, the right to enroll in the BNU master's program.
  • Candidates are required to adhere to the exam conduct rules (see "Rules of Conduct and Assessment during Internal Exams at Batumi Navigation University").
  • Internal exams are held in specialty (see Examination Topics in specialty) and English (test sample 1; sample 2). The English language exam is waived for candidates who have certified English proficiency at a level of B2 or higher through:
    • International certificates (e.g., TOEFL PBT, TOEFL IBT, IELTS, Cambridge Exams, etc.) or a document from a recognized organization confirming language proficiency. In this case, the candidate receives the maximum score for the English exam.
    • A diploma supplement or a notification from a higher education institution or authorized organization indicating the proficiency level and assessment. Here, the foreign language exam score is assigned based on the specified assessment.
  • The exam duration at BNU is set at three (03) hours.
  • If a master's degree candidate disagrees with the exam grade, they can challenge the result within the timeframe established by BNU.
  • Based on the results of the general master's exam and BNU's internal exam(s), candidates who qualify to continue their studies in the master's program for the relevant educational direction at BNU will be selected. In cases where multiple candidates have the same score for the last available spot, the candidate with the higher score on the general master's exam will be given priority.
  • The rights and obligations of a master's student at BNU, including matters related to status acquisition, suspension, reinstatement, termination, and administrative or academic registration, are governed by the university's bylaws. It is mandatory for students to familiarize themselves with and adhere to these requirements.
