Giorgi Dvali, 21, is a fourth-year student at Batumi Navigation Teaching University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the Maritime Navigation educational program.

On February 14, Giorgi departed for a six-month long voyage. He was selected, along with several other students, by a foreign shipowning company through a competitive interview process.

Giorgi is currently employed as a Deck Cadet aboard the vessel Eva Schulte, sailing under the Singapore flag.

The interview was conducted in August by the German company Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement.

Giorgi Dvali states:
“I will do everything to become a successful seafarer. Batumi Navigation Teaching University plays a major role in helping me achieve this goal.”
