The Academic Council is the highest educational and scientific representative and deliberative body of the Rector at Batumi Navigation University. Established to ensure the effective implementation of educational and scientific research activities at BNU, it facilitates the integration of BNU into the European educational space, fosters cooperation with educational, scientific, research and other institutions, and develops and implements educational programs in line with modern standards and requirements. The Council ensures the quality of the educational process and scientific research activities, guided by the Constitution of Georgia, legislative and subordinate normative acts, national and international educational standards, and the BNU bylaws. It adheres to the development and implementation of higher education programs and other regulatory provisions, taking into account the directives of the Rector and the Head of Administration-Chancellor. The Council executes its powers as defined by current educational and scientific research regulatory provisions.
