The course is designed to comply with the training provisions contained in Appendix II of IMO Assembly Resolution A.446 (XI) and MARPOL 73/78.

On completion of the course, the trainee will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of principles, equipment and design, generalized crude oil washing procedures, associated procedures, safety, checklists, regulatory enforcement procedures, maintenance of plant and equipment.

Entry standards

For entry to the course the candidate should present:

• Certificate of Competency or Certificate of Proficiency or educational diploma;
• Passport or Seaman’s Book or Seafarer’s Identity Document;
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
