The course is design for individuals, who are employed or to be employed on board ship on the basis of the labour contract, except the crew member (such as medical staff, casino staff, bartenders, disc jockeys and etc. on passenger, cruise vessels).
On completion of the course, the trainee should be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of basic conventions of IMO
- Knowledge of ships construction and ships main units (including English terminology)
- Knowledge of the necessary English terminology for communication in emergency situations
- Knowledge of measures for prevention of ship pollution
- Knowledge of meaning of safety signs
Entry standards
For entry to the course the candidate should present:
- Passport;
- Letter-request from shipowner or crewing agency (if available)
- Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
- Photo
