The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) is the main international convention covering prevention of pollution of the marine environment by ships from operational or accidental causes.
The course is designed to develop and update your knowledge of the latest regulatory requirements of MARPOL, OPA 90 and other IMO conventions for pollution prevention.
Entry standards
For entry to the course the candidate should present:
- Certificate of Competency or Certificate of Proficiency or educational diploma
- Passport or Seaman’s Book or Seafarer’s Identity Document;
- Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
